Anton Osin

Anton Osin is a Senior Fellow at the Council on International Law, Order, and Security. His work focuses on economic statecraft, industrial policy and localization, and the ways in which key geopolitical actors reshape global investment, trade, and economic flows.

Anton brings extensive international experience across national economic development, financial services, management consulting, and investment. He has advised senior public – and private-sector leaders on financial-sector strategy, institutional transformation, cross-border investment, and the development of new industries and economic ecosystems. His work has spanned the Middle East, Europe, Russia, the United States, and Asia.

The central focus of his work is translating national development priorities into commercially viable investment opportunities by strengthening industrial capabilities, localizing critical supply chains, attracting international capital and manufacturers, and connecting institutions across regions. He is particularly interested in how major geopolitical actors, and middle powers can help bridge Western and Asian capital networks amid growing economic and political fragmentation, and in the practical policy and investment solutions that could support this.

At CILOS, Anton’s research interests include the relationship between geopolitical change and international capital flows; economic statecraft and national development strategies; industrial localization and supply-chain resilience; sovereign and institutional investment; and the application of artificial intelligence to institutional decision-making and economic policy.

Anton holds a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard Kennedy School, where his studies focused on political economy, international affairs, economic development, and public leadership. He also completed graduate coursework at Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.
