Elif Memet is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Council on International Law, Order, and Security.
Elif is based in San Francisco and New York. She has studied and worked across economics, finance, technology, and national security for more than a decade, spanning investing, entrepreneurship, research, and public-sector advisory work.
She is the Founder and CEO of Omu, an AI startup building a new information infrastructure for the economy. She allocated capital as a private equity investor at Apollo Global Management and advised on mergers and acquisitions and capital raises as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, working on more than $50 billion transactions across both firms. She served as a Board Observer at Yahoo Inc. She advised the European Commission on the industrial and fiscal requirements of rearmament, NATO DIANA on defense innovation, and the Romanian government where she served as an honorary advisor to the Minister of Research and Innovation and Minister of Energy, and on Romania’s National Council on Science and Innovation.
Elif holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, a Master in Public Policy with Distinction from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Bachelor of Arts Magna cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in Mathematics and Economics from Columbia University.
