Elizabeth Lindley is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Council on International Law, Order, and Security (CILOS). At the Council, her work focuses on the politics and foreign policy of the People's Republic of China, cross-Strait relations, and China's role in European and transatlantic security, along with great-power competition, security and defence in UK-China relations, and human rights in China.

Elizabeth Lindley is a China analyst and researcher specialising in the politics and foreign policy of the People’s Republic of China. She holds a First Class degree in Chinese Studies from the University of Cambridge, including advanced Mandarin study in Taipei. She has previously worked in Taipei as a political analyst and translator, and in London on security issues relating to the UK-China bilateral relationship. She currently works as a researcher and consultant on China, with a particular focus on human rights, political developments, and the implications of China's growing international influence for European and transatlantic security.
