Sheewon Min is a Research Fellow at the Council on International Law, Order, and Security. At the Council, her work focuses on great-power competition and U.S.-China relations, and on the role of international institutions and multilateral frameworks in how states navigate strategic rivalry across Asia and the Indo-Pacific.

Sheewon is a doctoral candidate in International Relations at the University of Oxford. Her research explores how states navigate strategic rivalry between great powers (particularly in the context of U.S.-China competition) with a focus on countries’ membership in international institutions and multilateral frameworks.

She has contributed to research at think tanks in Washington, D.C., and Seoul, including the East Asia Institute (EAI), the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), and the Korea Economic Institute (KEI).

She holds a master’s degree from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree from Yonsei University.
