Dr. Tingyi Wang is a Non-Resident Affiliated Expert at the Council on International Law, Order, and Security (CILOS), where his work focuses on Gulf-Asia relations, great-power competition in the Gulf, and the intersection of politics, economics, and technology in the Middle East.

He is also a Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School and at the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy in the United Arab Emirates. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at St Antony's College, University of Oxford; a Visiting Fellow at Princeton University; and an Assistant Professor at Tsinghua University.

Dr. Wang has conducted research across the Middle East for more than fifteen years, with particular focus on the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. He regularly convenes and participates in Track 1.5 and Track 2 dialogues linking the Gulf, Europe, and East Asia, and has lectured at leading universities throughout Asia, Europe, and North America. His publications span Gulf politics, foreign policy, and international relations.
