Guidelines for Contributors

CILOS welcomes original commentaries, policy briefs, and research articles that engage the mission of the Council on International Law Order and Security (CILOS) and its areas of focus.

 

Submission Criteria

CILOS invites original opinion articles (450–1500 words) and Research Articles (3,000–5,000 words) addressing issues aligned with the council's mission and areas of focus. Submissions must:

  • Be exclusive to CILOS (not published, posted, or submitted elsewhere

  • Include the author’s full name, credentials, and contact information (no anonymous or pseudonymous submissions).

  • Focus on clarity, evidence-based arguments, and relevance to contemporary debates.​
     

Review Timeline: Authors will receive a response within 7 business days if accepted. Silence after this period indicates that the council has declined to move forward with the submission.

How to Submit:

  1. Use our Online Submission Form below or send your paper to Info@cilos.org.

  2. Paste your article as plain text.

  3. Include co-author details or relevant expertise in the “Comments” field.
